We’re seeking an experienced Plant Foreman to lead multi-discipline crews constructing water and wastewater treatment facilities across Northeast Florida. This role is responsible for coordinating daily field operations, ensuring production goals are met, and delivering high-quality, safe work while developing and mentoring crew members.
Directly supervise and coordinate multiple crews, including yard piping, concrete, process piping/equipment installation, start-up, and punch-out
Plan and execute daily work based on the project’s 4-week look-ahead schedule
Train, coach, and mentor crew members while maintaining accurate daily reports and timecards
Lead with safety — enforce OSHA requirements and Petticoat-Schmitt safety standards
Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, and subcontractor activities to meet production targets
Support survey layout and perform ongoing quality checks to ensure work meets plans and specifications
Adjust daily operations to reflect changing field conditions, schedules, and resource availability
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient jobsite
Interpret construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, I&C diagrams, and electrical one-line diagrams
Perform construction math; calculate elevations, quantities, and slopes
Set up and use rotary lasers, builder’s levels, and total stations for layout verification
Manage yard piping systems including push-joint, MJ, TR-Flex, HDPE, RCP, CPP, and PVC
Oversee process piping and mechanical installations (DI, stainless, FRP, PVC), including pumps and process equipment
Plan safe excavations around existing utilities and oversee dewatering operations
Advanced understanding of water/wastewater treatment plant construction sequencing and methods
Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills
Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, Petticoat-Schmitt standards, and environmental compliance (BMPs/NPDES)
Basic IT proficiency for completing reports, timecards, and documentation via smartphone or tablet (e.g., HeavyJob or similar)
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation as it relates to assigned scope of work
Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work in and around trenches and structures
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly
Ability to distinguish jobsite sounds such as equipment movement, alarms, and voices
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
Required PPE includes hard hat, eye and ear protection, and high-visibility apparel
5–10 years of water/wastewater treatment plant construction experience (foreman-level experience preferred)
Demonstrated ability to lead self-perform crews safely and productively
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred certifications include Competent Person, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Rigging/Crane Safety, and OSHA 30
Jobsites are safe, clean, organized, and productive
Production and schedule goals are consistently met
Weekly planning is accurate and successfully executed
Work quality meets specifications with minimal rework
Communication and field documentation are timely and complete
