In this role, you’ll work alongside the Survey Party Chief and crew to execute construction layout, manage equipment and materials, and deliver reliable results that keep our projects on track.

What You’ll Do

• Support Survey Operations: Assist the Survey Party Chief in daily crew activities, ensuring tasks are executed safely and efficiently.

• Lead in the Field: Supervise rod personnel, manage equipment and materials, and maintain quality control across survey operations.

• Execute with Accuracy: Perform technical survey tasks including computations, plan/elevation interpretation, construction layout, roadway and utilities staking, finish grading, and as-built surveys.

• Communicate Effectively: Coordinate with the Survey Party Chief, team members, and superintendents to maximize resource utilization and project success.

• Adapt as Needed: Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Survey Manager or Superintendent.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong understanding of construction plans and their application to survey work.

• Ability to identify and manage resources required for assigned work (materials, equipment, tools).

• Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive as a team player in a diverse workforce.

• Physically able to meet job demands: standing/sitting for long periods, climbing in and out of equipment, lifting up to 40 lbs, and distinguishing jobsite sounds/signals.

• Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety in all aspects of survey work.
