What You’ll Do

End-to-End Project Management

  • Lead all phases of project delivery — from planning through execution to closeout.

  • Maintain full responsibility for budgets, schedules, and outcomes.

Team Leadership

  • Inspire and lead crews to peak performance.

  • Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture on and off the jobsite.

Financial Focus

  • Manage project budgets and forecasts with full profit-and-loss responsibility.

  • Drive profitability by identifying savings and opportunities for success.

Risk Management

  • Anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and maintain smooth project flow.

  • Ensure delivery that is on time, on budget, and exceeds client expectations.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent Petticoat-Schmitt with integrity and professionalism.

  • Build trust with clients, vendors, and partners to strengthen relationships and secure future opportunities.


What We’re Looking For

Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction.

  • Proven self-performing civil construction background, with ownership of labor, materials, and financials.

  • Strong financial acumen with profit/loss management responsibility.

  • Proficiency with scheduling and project management software (Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HCSS, Procore/Prolog, or similar).

  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Personal Traits

  • Urgency and precision in solving problems.

  • Commitment to process excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to coach, mentor, and foster a winning team culture.

  • Fearless communicator who safeguards the company’s future.
