POSITION SUMMARY
The AutoCAD Technician reports directly to the Survey Manager. The AutoCAD Technician’s primary role is to assist the Survey Manager, Sr. Survey Technician and field personnel in daily operations including, but not limited to, daily data management from office to field, prepare worksheets for construction layout, prepare plans and as-built/record drawings, provide other related support services in the Survey Group, coordinating with other team members and superintendents under the direction of the Survey Manager and Sr. Survey Technician for the best utilization of PSCC resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Demonstrated experience using CIVIL 3-D software/
- Be able to read and understand construction plans as related to survey work.
- Ability to build and process job files in AutoCAD based on project needs and direction by Survey Manger and Sr. Survey Technician.
- AutoCAD proficient and able to prepare final documents to include As-built/Record documents and other survey related plans and maps with minimal supervision.
- Execute work according to plans and directives received from the Survey Manager / Sr. Survey Technician / Crew Lead. Communicate regularly and effectively with the Survey Manager, Sr. Survey Technician and field personnel.
- Engage in an acceptable level of competence with all technical components of Survey work. (Includes computations, interpreting plan and elevations, construction layout, roadway & Utilities, finish grading, As-built etc.)
- Know what requirements are included in the assigned work and manage accordingly. (Type of layout/record data, job specific layout requirements, etc.)

Hours Information:
- Normal hours are M-F, 7am – 3:30pm
- Hours can extend depending on production needs.
- Some Saturdays as necessary. We are off on Sundays.
- We plan on working 40-45 hours per week. Overtime is likely but not guaranteed.
